Analytics

We use self-hosted, cookieless analytics (Umami). It does not set cookies or store personal data, and IP addresses are not stored.

Affiliate links

When you click an affiliate link you leave this site. The retailer (for example Amazon) may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

Links from Pinterest

Links in our pins carry campaign parameters (for example utm_source=pinterest) so we can count, in aggregate, how many visits each pin brings. They do not identify you.

Our Pinterest app

We run a small internal app, "Bitclick GO! Girls Outdoors Pin Publisher", that uses the Pinterest API only to manage our own Pinterest business account:

• What it does: creates pins on our own boards, each linking to an article on this site, and reads the performance metrics of those pins (impressions, saves and clicks).
• What it does not do: it does not access, collect or store data from other Pinterest users, it does not post on anyone else's behalf, and it does not use the Pinterest tag or any tracking on this site.
• Data it stores: the IDs of our pins and boards and their aggregate metrics, on our own server. The access token for our account is stored encrypted in our automation server's credential store and is never shared.
• Sharing: we do not sell or share Pinterest data with third parties.
• Retention: pin metrics are kept only to measure the performance of our own pins, and are deleted if we close the Pinterest account.
• Revoking access: the app only connects to our own account. We can revoke its access at any time from Pinterest's settings (Security and logins > Apps). For any question about this app, write to the email above.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection by writing to the email above. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
